Good morning, Roadrunners!
Due to recent circumstances in my life, I have become increasingly interested in Billy the Kid and the larger Lincoln County War.
So, for fun, I read a book on the subject… and then another… and then another… and now, oops! I’ve written an episode about it. I did not plan on doing such a thing. Billy the Kid has been done to death, but I couldn’t help myself.
Unfortunately (fortunately?) this episode is over 20k words and it’s only the first of three.
Therefore, within the next few days I will be dropping the first of three episodes over Billy the Kid and the Lincoln County War.
I hope that this little series will provide insight into the highly talked about subject and offer some new prospectives but… I’m not sure there’s much I can add. So I hope you just enjoy hearing about it from my voice. I honestly knew very little and I was embarrassed by that fact, hence why I read three books over it.
Now I know I owe y’all a Tom Horn episode and I PROMISE it’s coming soon. I have not forgotten about y’all, my favorite listeners. Sometimes, life (innocently reading) gets in the way and a surprise subject overtakes my every waking moment.
On a personal note, Arlo is growing and letting my wife (whom I am neglecting on account of the literature and writing) and I sleep through the night. We are very blessed.
Y’all are the best and thank you for your patronage.
I’ll see you again soon in the American Southwest.

Excited!

Update to the Billy the kid series. I just finished writing episode nine. It’ll be 15 or 16 episodes. The first episode will be an interview with the author. Thanks for y’all’s patience.
